Today Kara met me on base and we went to the Housing Office for our 0900 appointment... to go check out Government Housing! What kind of house you ask? Well, we were VERY fortunate enough to be offered a 3 bdrm house! The Housing Office told us that they were so short handed on 2 bdrm houses that they had to downgrade this house into the Jr enlisted waiting list :) lucky us. To put this simply, it's sorta like winning the lotto. Although I'd RATHER win the lottery, I'll settle with a 3 bdrm house ;)
It's a really nice place, located in the city of Maniago (Mon-ee-ah-go.) As you enter the city, there are signs that say "Maniago 981 - 1981" Yes, it is a pretty old city, really quiet and it seems a little upscale. It's a little further from where we live now, but it'll be WELL worth it.
Ok, more on our house. It is a 3 bdrm 2 1/2 bath. The half bath is on the bottom floor, kind of under the stairs (you'll see in the pics) There's a full bathroom at the top of the stairs and there's a bathroom with a stand up shower in the master bedroom. The living room is really big, the first thing I noticed were all the wall outlets! oh happy day :) There is a storage closet as you enter the house, and a storage room (yes storage ROOM, and i don't use that lightly lol you'll see in the pics) next to the upstairs bathroom. The kitchen is pretty big with double the counter space and triple the cabinets! And it has a dishwasher!! The yard is pretty tiny lol we're still getting a German Shepherd though. There is a paved running path that follows one of the country road for a few miles that I can take a dog running every couple days, plus we're right next to a park and soccer field :)
The Master Bedroom's only window is a double door with glass centers, it's really cool, and they open up to a tiny balcony, Romeo and Juliet style, as in it's just big enough for a chair and a stand with a potted plant lol.
Ok, enough with the typing, if you're still reading... Thank you lol I know you're here to look at pictures of the house, so I won't delay any longer.
Here they are!
BTW please bear with us, the cleaning people were there and we were trying to keep them out of the pictures, so we couldn't get pics of one of the rooms and the upstairs bathroom... Sorry...
PS You might want to click on the pictures to enlarge them to be able to read the captions easier.
Oh and we'll take video and post it here next time we're over there, so you'll get a better idea of the house.

So the photo for the storage room upstairs didn't turn out as well as I wanted... but you can tell by the door that it's a pretty big room.

We signed for the house today and we move in on October 1st!!!
Kara and I want to thank you all for following our blog!
We love and miss you all
Congratulations, it's absolutely beautiful.
