Kylea's Visit!

Hey everyone! It's Kara here updating again. So much for updating only once a month. But a whole lot has happened in the past few weeks so you all deserve an update.

So last Tuesday we got the news that Kylea was coming to visit! (For those who don't know, Kylea is my sister!) Well her plane came in on Thursday the 17th and she spent a wonderful week here. We were nervous because it had been raining really bad here but luckily the weather was beautiful the whole time she was here. Kylea and I spent a lot of time at the mall while Harris was working. We made our way to the Emisfaro mall near Pordennone, and the Citta Fiera mall near Udine. It was really fun to go shopping with my sister and have a fun time trying on some Italian fashions and finding cute clothes at some American stores as well. We also had fun playing tourist in Aviano and the towns that are around the area.

Saturday morning the three of us went to Lake Barcis. We got some beautiful pictures that I'll post on here so you can see. I was so excited to finally make it to the lake because I've been trying to get Harris to go for a few weeks and we finally had a good excuse to go. It was simply beautiful!

Sunday I played hooky from church and we went to Venice! It was really fun. We only spent a few hours there but it was still great. Harris, we've decided, will grow up to one day be a photographer for post cards. He did an amazing job getting good pictures of Venice :)

Since this trip was a little short notice I had to work. I don't know if I've posted this but I got a job a few weeks ago working 30 hours a week at the shoppette on base. It's a little convenience store on base. So far I like it. Anyways the reason I bring that up is Kylea and Harris had some adventures without me while I was at work and they found a shop to get a pure bred puppy!!! Harris and I are going back this weekend to get us a puppy! At this place you put some money down, then they find a puppy for you which takes a week or two, then the puppy has to stay with them for a week to make sure it doesn't get sick then you can pick it up! Which will be perfect because we move in a week! ah!

So that brings me to the fact that we are moving in one week from today! WOW! We are getting super excited! We showed Kylea where we are moving to and we took some great pictures of the town center of Maniago. I'm so excited to move but it'll be a little crazy here for the next few weeks. we are hoping to get all settled in asap so we can have a BBQ while the weather is still good.

Well I'll post some pictures and I'll let Harris update whatever I missed when he gets home from work. Have a great few weeks and we'll post again as soon as we can with pictures form the new place!

Now it's Harris' turn lol
Kara pretty much got everything for now. She told me to add more pictures, and she didn't add pics of Lake Barcis or Maniago, so i'll add a few of them.
I'm really excited for us to get a puppy, i need a good running partner lol and there is a paved running path that's a few miles long that practically starts across the street from our new house :)

So we thought this was a pedestrian bridge... Turns out, it's a really narrow 1 lane, 2 way bridge lol



This is the front of our house we move to next week! We hear the neighbors to the right like to party... As long as I can't hear it when I'm trying to sleep...

We're getting a puppy! Not this puppy though lol this is a Bernese Mountain Dog... We're getting a German Shepherd. Yes that is a real dog! I know it looks liked a stuffed animal lol.

Well, I think that is about everything for now, we'll be without phone and internet for a couple weeks at most starting on the 1st of October... we'll be sure to post another blog once we're up and running again.
