Well Harris came in last Monday. His plane was scheduled to come in last Sunday but the weather in Texas wanted him to stay one more day in the states. I'll let him tell that story another time. I'll just say that he had some adventures of long flights, and overnight at an airport. But the important part is that he made it home:)
Harris took a week of leave and we've been busy. Thursday we decided to go on a day trip to Pisa! It was a beautiful day to go. It wasn't too cloudy, and the weather was perfect with a tiny breeze. We didn't have too much time to spend there because we only took one day but we got to see the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa!! let me just tell you that it really does lean, it's not just a trick people do with their camera;) It was very beautiful. I loved the marble buildings, and all the random people that were there. We got to go up the tower too which was an entertaining adventure. I'm terrified of heights, and I think everyone that was near me could tell. lol. It was so neat to be able to go up the winding staircases and walk the actual steps that Galileo climbed. And the view from the top was amazingly beautiful. I loved it and I can't wait to go back:)
Well we've had a busy weekend too. The weather has been amazing so it's been BBQ after BBQ for us. Harris has enjoyed cooking his famous chicken and I've enjoyed eating it:) so have our friends:)
Well there isn't much else to say, so I'll leave you with some pictures of our adventures. Hopefully we'll have internet at our house within the next few weeks so we can update more regularly.
We love you all!
Kara and Harris

ReplyDeleteAwsome!!!! Gosh I remember how great it was to be visiting Pisa. We weren't as clever as both of you holding up the tower, but we got to admit you guys are having a good time. Enjoy Italy. We love you both
